Cigar Review: Oliva Serie V

Oliva Serie V Torpedo

Size: 6.5×56
Price: $9.50
Wrapper: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan

Appearance: The band sets teh tone for this cigar with its retro colors and modern design. One of the most visually pleasing cigars based on color and construction. Same color as a freshly poured Guinness!
Appearance Total: 14 out of 15

Smoking Characteristics: This cigar smokes as well as any I’ve ever held. the draw is solid and teh construction is a fortress. I eventually smoked this stick to where the ash met the band! Great construction and smoke-ability!
Smoking Characteristics Total: 22 of 25

Taste: What a smooth creamy flavor of tobacco, coffee, and spice to the kick it off. Notes of wood and hickory sneak in but the buttery tobacco is consistent throughout with an earthy aftertaste. The cigar opens late, at the end of the 2/3 to be exact, but the increase in flavor led me to smoke this cigar to the nub!
Taste Total: 23 of 25

Overall: Besides a small crack in the 3/3 which did not effect the actual smoke, this is an outstanding cigar. A must have for any cigar fan. It’s mild with mild flavors and a great experience. Highly recommend, a great smoke!
